The Carmelina Story

Mother of two, Carmel Margaritis was inspired to create a range of stylish, practical and fashionable nappy bags after having her own children and finding it hard to get a diaper bag that had everything she required, and still looked great. With a background in the media, modelling, fashion and dance industries, Carmel decided to branch out completely and challenge herself to design, and manufacture a designer diaper bag that met all of her needs, and would fit into her busy life when she was with, and without her children.

Sick of constantly taking personal items out of the baby nappy bag to put into another bag led her to the idea of having two bags in one - a large nappy bag, and a zip off front compartment that can be used for personal use by the mother when she is not in the company of her baby.

The Carmelina logo symbolises a butterfly, representing new life and loved by all. Each Carmelina bag is named after Australian butterflies, allowing every mother to carry a touch of beauty with them always.

Carmel is based in Adelaide, and has been working on her first collection since early 2011
